Shimba Hills National Reserve

Shimba Hills is a tropical rain forest which covers an area of 202 km2. Physical attractions here include
casuarinas forests, Marere Dam (a water hole where animals come to drink water) & the Sheldrick Waterfalls. The landscape here is grassland. Animals seen in this area include the elephants, buffalos,
giraffes, impalas, heeartbeasts, rare leopards, black and white monkeys, attractive sable antelopes, and
the roan antelopes among other animals. Shimba Hills has different species of birds like the tropical guinea fowls, fish eagles, falcons, weaver birds, ground horny bills among others.
